Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Director of Legislation and Grants include but are not limited to promoting and managing the legal, scholarship programs, and support of higher education within SISTUHS, Incorporated. She is also required to research, write, and submit grants that coordinate with and support the Mission Statement and National Projects and Programs. She is required to review the Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules. She is also required to review the National Constitution. In the absence of the Director of Legislation and Grants, or in the case of her inability or refusal to act, the National Directress shall appoint a member in good standing to fill the term of office.

 

Duties
  1. Solicit Amendment suggestions from Active Members.
  2. Arrange workshops with Chapters to discuss National Constitution and Chapter Bylaws.
  3. Coordinate with the Director of Programs to plan National Election and Amendments' Process for the National Conference.
  4. Arrange workshops to discuss the Scholarships and Application Process.
  5. Coordinate with the Director of Finance and Budget to insure that grant monies are allocated.
  6. Oversee the National Honor Society Auxiliary.
  7. Coordinate with the Director of Programs to oversee the National Awards at the National Conference.
  8. Turn over all records and files to the next Director of Legislation and Grants.
