Responsibilities

It shall be the duty of the Director of Correspondence to keep a record of the proceedings of the Board of Directors. She shall keep the Corporate seal; she shall affix the Corporate seal on all contracts, deeds, conveyances and all other instruments and obligations in writing, of whatever kind or nature, authorized by the Board of Directors to be entered into and executed by the Incorporation, provided that the validity of such contracts, deeds, conveyances and other instruments shall not be affected by the fact that the Corporate seal is not affixed thereto, and shall further do and perform each and every duty pertaining to her office as required by the Board of Directors. She shall serve all notices required by law or by the Constitution of this Incorporation; and in case of her absence, inability or refusal to act, all of her duties may be performed by the Assistant Directress of Policy until the Directress appoints a member to perform these duties. In the absence of the Director of Correspondence, or in the case of her inability or refusal to act, the Directress shall appoint an officer of a chapter in good standing to fill the term of office.

Duties
  1. Maintain National records, archives, and history.
  2. Review all correspondence; share with the Board; respond as advised by Directress.
  3. Document Board meetings and distribute minutes within two weeks after meetings.
  4. Incorporate any corrections to current minutes as requested.
  5. Maintain records of National correspondence and minutes.
  6. Maintain sufficient quantities of National stationary (letterhead and envelopes) and provide this to Chapter Presidents and Board members as requested.
  7. Assist with National correspondence as requested.
  8. Arrange Board meeting facilities.
  9. Notify Board of next meeting date, location, and time.
  10. Arrange meeting refreshments.
  11. Register members" attendance at National events.
  12. Register members" attendance at chapter events.
  13. Develop the necessary forms for the transactions of SISTUHS, Incorporated.
  14. Purchase and keep adequate quantities of supplies and paraphernalia items.
  15. Turn over all financial records and files to the next Director of Correspondence.
